Qatar Airways adds new Europe, Asia and South America routes for summer 2026
Additional frequencies planned from August across key markets
DUBAI – Qatar Airways is significantly expanding its international operations for the summer 2026 season, announcing the return of flights to Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda alongside the launch of new services to Caracas and Bogotá.
The expansion will strengthen the airline’s network across Europe, Asia and South America while increasing connectivity through Hamad International Airport in Doha.
The Doha-based carrier said the additions will help it serve more than 160 global destinations across six continents this summer. The airline also highlighted that travellers from Australia, Kenya and Southeast Asia are expected to benefit from improved transfer options through its expanding route network.
Europe
Qatar Airways will resume flights to Helsinki, Finland, from July 15, initially operating four weekly services every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flight QR301 will depart Doha at 08:40 and arrive in Helsinki at 15:30, while the return service QR302 will leave Helsinki at 17:05 and land in Doha at 00:05.
The airline will further increase operations on the route from August 1, adding services every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday to make the route daily. The additional QR303 flight will depart Doha at 01:30 and arrive in Helsinki at 08:20. The return QR304 service will leave Helsinki at 09:50 and arrive in Doha at 16:50.
Qatar Airways said the Helsinki route forms part of its broader commitment to enhancing connectivity between the Middle East and Europe, while also improving access for passengers travelling onwards to destinations in Asia, Africa and Oceania.
Asia
In Asia, Qatar Airways will resume operations to Tokyo Haneda Airport from July 15, complementing its existing Tokyo Narita services. The airline will initially operate four weekly flights every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday before increasing the route to daily operations from August 1.

Flight QR812 will depart Doha at 07:50 and arrive at Tokyo Haneda at 00:05 the following day. The return QR813 service will depart Tokyo Haneda at 01:35 and reach Doha at 06:45.
The carrier said the Haneda return is expected to improve onward domestic connections within Japan for passengers travelling from Europe and the Middle East. Haneda Airport’s location closer to central Tokyo is also expected to offer additional convenience for both business and leisure travellers.
South America
Qatar Airways is also strengthening its presence in the Americas with the launch of new services to Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia, from July 22, 2026. The airline will become the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela and the first airline to operate direct flights from the Middle East to both capital cities.
The linked route will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays. Flight QR783 will depart Doha at 07:30 and arrive in Bogotá at 16:05 before continuing to Caracas at 17:35 and landing at 20:40. The return flight will depart Caracas at 22:40 and arrive in Doha at 19:55 the following day.
Qatar Airways is the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela, and the first airline to operate two weekly flights from the Middle East to Caracas and Bogotá, starting 22 July 2026.

According to Qatar Airways, the schedule has been designed to support seamless onward connections through Hamad International Airport to destinations including the UAE, Lebanon, China, Japan, Australia and South Korea.
The addition of Caracas and Bogotá will increase Qatar Airways’ Americas network to 16 destinations. The airline first entered the South American market in 2010 with services to São Paulo, Brazil.
Qatar Airways said the latest expansion reflects its continued focus on rebuilding and strengthening global connectivity, with the airline preparing for one of its largest summer schedules in recent years.
